Mark took advantage of the lull in juried events and competions during the Black Hole of Covid to continue painting AND write his memoirs.  The writing project was inspired by a Father's Day gift from his daughter Brooke - a subscription to StoryWorth.  12 months and 480 pages later "Life's a Journey..." was born.  It was a great experience!

Mark has won Best in Show, 1st Place, 2nd Place, People’s Choice, Award of Merit, Patron’s Purchase, multiple Quick Draw, and Honorable Mention awards. Mark’s paintings are in numerous public and private collections.  Mark’s painting was selected by the LAVENDER ASSOCIATION OF COLORADO for the poster image for  the ANNUAL COLORADO LAVENDER FESTIVAL OF 2019. Colorado Mesa University recently purchased three major studio paintings for their new Health Science Building, and three pieces are permanent installations at the Littleton Adventist Hospital.

Mark’s work is represented by the Blue Pig Gallery in Palisade, Co and at the Main Street Gallery in Grand Junction. He also plans on teaching workshops in his studio in Grand Junction, Co. which will include regularly venturing out of doors to demonstrate and mentor plein air painting.
